We Will

Sometimes we break people
Sometimes people break us
If they can be fixed, so can we
If they can mend, so can we

Every bad experience in our life
Is a mental chain on our backs
So much fake skins we've grown
Break the chains, shed the skins

They tell us who we have to be
From our right, left, top and bottom
Who says what they say is true?
We're free souls, through and through

Open up your heart and your soul
Happiness isn't something sold
They're not prophets, they're not Gods
We will write our own fates

Unseal your lips and smile wide
Release yourself from your mental cage
Unlock your broken heart
Let it heal, throw away the key

We will write our own stories
We will be our own authors
We will draw our own future
We will be our own artists

To the yin of my yang.
