We Were Once

We were once friends
We were once soulmates
We were once by each others side
We were once taking on the world together
We were once lost into each others' eyes
We were once so connected
We were once forever

Your poems are not concretes. A concrete is a poem in the shape of what you write about :) This pooem is Free Verse. It is a beautiful poem. And I wonder what happened, I would love to see that in your poem, because apparently it didn't end well. That I can see because your lines start with "We were once". Welcome to PoetrySoup :)

Sorry :/ I'm new with poetry and I thought concrete was a free verse or something. I was in an abusive/ toxic "friendship" with someone for a while, and I finally escaped from it. I'm happy that I'm away from that person, but now I have stuff to write about, which is helpful.
