We Were Never Here
Yesterday there was
another killing suicide bombing
Today there is
more refugee deaths by drowning
Tomorrow for sure,
will be another slow death day for the poor
Past, present and future
all being pressed together ... more and more
Conditions are getting worse,
not better ... it’s all rotten to the core
Cosmic karma compression
is crushing this little green marble ball
Accelerated death wish granted:
Winter of destruction will happen in the Fall
Bad news of pending solar flares
are lazily greeted by drunken jeers
When the fury of the Son incinerates us,
it will be as if we were never here
We were not our brother’s keeper,
we tuned out to their deep pain
Closed our ears ...
didn’t wanna hear their cries
Shut our eyes ...
didn’t wanna see how they died
Our cold hearts are gonna get melted
on Judgment day
All of our crocodile tears
are gonna get burned away
Apocalypse now ...
time to turn and face our worst fear
There will be no evidence to show
that we were ever here
The way things are presently progressing today,
our past sins makes it perfectly clear
The future of humanity will be,
as if we were never here
