We Straighten Our Crowns

Everyone is struggling with something. And many of us have traumatic childhoods from which we need to heal.

In order to heal, we need to take time, self-care and space from the world. But, we also need to be able to ask for help when we need it. It's definitely challenging, but a journey worth taking.

We will oftentimes feel like a butterfly that goes through a complete metamorphosis to become its beautiful self.

There is a greater power than us in the Universe and it is always there. Give the Universe a chance to have your back.

We straighten our crowns

When we're young
Our worlds are small
They revolve around our parents
And our four walls

We are limited
In our perception
We don't understand
All the deceptions

Some are obvious
Some are not
But we often intuit
Signs around us

We grow up
Confused and dazed
Fragmented memories
Create a haze

As we grow older
We understand more
It's not always good
It's not always helpful

But with experience
Comes greater insight
More wisdom for us
To feel right

We can forgive
But often not forget
We need to process
We need to vent

So much anger
So much pain
We often think
Our life was in vain

But when we allow
Light through the cracks
We give the Universe
Chance to have our back

The warmth
Melts our hearts
And gives us a chance
To weld a new part

Stronger and wiser
With love and hope
We grow our wings
We polish our soul

We straighten our crowns
We dodge the arrows
We live a life that is on
The straight and narrow

And one day
When we go home
We'll know that we
Are souls good to know

Heaven embraces
Each one of us
For we are love
Light and stardust
