We Spit On Poe's Raven

We spit on Poe's raven
The crows and me
True blackbirds, living our truth
Eating corn ahead of the masses
Leaving nothing at borders
Glorying in our evilness

Isn't that a bit like throwing down the, ghostly gauntlet? I mean both Poe and his raven are deceased...do you want to be haunted by them? Cute.

I want them to come and grab me up by the shoulders and shake me hard and scare the bedevilness out of us tonight; I am going to lie in my bed waiting.
