We Slow Down

we slow down
cooperation and compromise
we discover each other in new ways
why we fell in love is found again with an aged maturation
we eat our warm apple pie and vanilla ice cream
we drink our vanilla almondmilk and admire the blue sky and the puffy clouds
honest conversation is like a waterfall nursing itself back to health
we leave the brake on and paint the chill vibe red
i forgot how beautiful you look when are fully still
you forgot how more deeply attentive i am when i am focusing on you
it feels good to stray away from the norm that we blindly created
we put on that rupert holmes song and pay particular attention to the last verse
we begin to sing and the day immediately runs for cover....AND SO DO WE!
