We See What We Want To See

we see what we want to see
moments of pain or the power to make it poetry

a lovely sunset or violet skies
the smile on my face or the storm in my eyes

monsters, shadows and rage
or the chance to dance on the edge

the risk to feel shameless and alive
or the fall like a sharp pain of a knife

naked bodies in the night
bringing sparks and storms of light

mirror, mirror there are two
your perception of me is a reflection of you

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
