My husband and I use to walk the Callahan Mountain in Oregon; it was breath taking.
Take a walk with me within the forest; Spring's nature promises a respite rest. Gravel path, veiled in fragrant inspiring Colors, untiring sounds of sweet flying Feather sirens, and insect fluttering. Inhale the air's spirit mirthful travel. Listen to crunch and shift of course gravel, See the dust rise upwards beneath our shoes, Feel the cool wind blow and toss our hair lose. Listen to hastening heartbeat resonance Of clear blue, cool river at a distance, Where it runs deep in its flowing existence. Walk within the spring forest, breathe a piece Of heaven that beckons and never cease. 5/30/2021 Poetry Contest: We See What We Want To See Sponsored by: Daniel Turner
