When I'm lying in my bed alone
And I picture you in my mind
I'm reminded of our history
Why I chose not to pursue the fight
And all the sleepless nights
Overthinking and over feeling
They weigh down my heart's beating
They slow down my soul's dreaming
We have history, we have destiny
We have heartbreak, we have friction

Our souls dance and spark

But our hearts keep bleeding
When we cut them on our words
Life keeps breaking us apart

But we hold on to hope and sanity
Every time we try and try again

When I'm flying with the stars in my dreams
And I picture you beside me
I'm reminded of our history
Why we couldn't fly together forever
And all the dashed hopes
