Head bowed
Another lost
Only nineteen
Life exhaust

Suicide bomber
Checkpoint aimed
Distant detonation
Bloodthirsty reign

Flown home
Last journey
Sombre flight
Deceased early

Airport met
Coffin carried
Mourning wife
Newly married

Another hero
Theatre down
Another funeral
Tearful town

Families gather
Friends unite
Stars n Stripes
Mournful sight

Firing salute
Last farewell
Congregation disperse
Wishing well

Freedoms the rest of the world would dearly love to take away. It takes blood and treasure to give light to the world. Saying to the tough nuts in Prison, guys, you are now our Army, off to Afghanistan you're going. Many of these guys would burst into tears, belittled by not being as brave as they've made themselves out to be. Have a lovely weekend Robert, James....
