Notes About The Poem
i've been in my song lyric mode for a while now. sorry if these are really poetry. just my thing right now:)
We Both Know
My friend said I should just go with the flow
I swore to myself it was the last time I’d go
I was getting so tired of it all
Seemed like just a big, show
I did my time and was walking out
Then she walked by and left no doubt
Her smile washed over me like a cleansing rain
I smiled and wondered her name
We got lost on that big dance floor
Don't think we stopped till they closed the doors
Didn't say a word for an hour or so
Dancin’ in each other’s arms real slow
Oh oh, it’s all one dice roll
Oh oh, it’s nice to lose control…
