One big happy family....wouldn't that be nice :)

It is not negligence on my behalf...nor is it yours It is the mere fact, of not enough time in a day It is not a beg for forgiveness...nor is it a forgiveness cry It is a knot, a knot that ties us to our robotic habits...work perhaps We the unknown...must show our faces Let others read our eyes...with no words spoken Oh Silent One...can you hear me And Broken Wings Dear Heart, take our bandages and let them heal you Let Winged Warrior spread his love and light upon you... pass it on to others Let the Sunshine's Smile warmthin you Let the Lyric Man's songs bring music to your ears And finally, when the Poet Doctor...comes knocking at your door Let him in, welcome him...show him gratitude The only medicine we need...is one another We are he, and we...are all together We are poetry

Being together is stronger than being apart. What holds poets in one place?? Love, respect, understanding and honesty. You have a wonderful heart Charlie. Thank you for always being here, even if through the wind sometimes. You are appreciated. We are family here at Poetry Soup, or we should be. Through our words, each beat of our hearts. ~ Brandy

Charles, you have penned a very meaningful and wonderful poem, well done, yes lets be one big happy group of poets sharing our art with no negativity, just growth, I am happy to help any poet new or old in anyway I can( even if my kindness is not returned, I cannot become the thing I dislike.) I hope and pray my poetry heals any sad soul, even if it just shows them that they are not alone in what they have experienced in life.

In the words of Muhammad Ali... 'Me. We.' Your sense of community and fellowship is admirably expressed here, Charles, nice one.

Those words...'sting like a bee ('Me. We') but let them 'fly like a butterfly' to everyone's ears. Thank you, Lawrence.

This was so subtle and sweet. A lovely tribute, and you are right. What is a poet without poetical friends who read her or his poems? "we are he, and we...are all together. We are poetry." This was a wonderful poem within a wonderful poem, Charles.

You did a wonderful job of conveying the type of supportive community poets come to Poetry Soup to find, Charles. I heard there was some negativity recently. That has happened from time to time over the years, but many of us stay here for all the positive qualities you described so well. Very nice, Charlie! Hugs, Carolyn
