We Are One

Our collective memories
fade into legends
the old way begin to falter
our pack is diminishing.

We trusted you
shared our ancestral home
and you defiled our sacred grounds
with brazen disdain.

Now the mountains echo
whispers of defeat
icy winds give voice
to the forests
the meadows
to grief.

Rumored undone
we are not defeated
But, you'll never understand
the Great Spirit is our sire
the Earth is our Mother
and in spirit we are one.

We are one with each other, we are one, we are one, we are "won" with each other, we are "won". Love it! Like the song.
