We Are Now Here, Nowhere

I do not care, lightly, somewhere inside I wonder why— why don't you care the way I dare too much? Whenever you are there, and I am here, we are nowhere near where we started all those years ago. It does not matter; we invest no genuine care.

Sigh.. I too wonder why one doesn't receive the same care and kindness which he/she radiates for others. Sometimes, it's truly heart-aching when, what was such a beautiful situation a few years ago, now seems to fade in nothingness. A very evocative and thought-provoking poem this is, with heartfelt depth..

You are a very perceptive commenter - it is extremely satisfying to be read well. Thank you. I need to go back to the drawing board on this topic though; I had intended to give it at least a bit of hope :D
