We Are Not Sea Creatures

We are not sea creatures By Michelle Morris 21/09/2023 Don't be one of the broken ones Who remain empty shells that echo The remnants of their humanity Long forgotten and stripped away Don't be one of the cruel ones Who become hard and sharp to the world The remnants of their kindness Long forgotten and pierced through the heart For brokenness can be mended We just have to keep choosing faith and hope Hold on to the Light in the Darkness And choose to heal and grow and fly For cruelty can be conquered It's not natural to be destructive Babies are born with kindness and smiles They embrace friendship and happiness Let's not become empty shells Let's not be hard and sharp For we are not sea creatures Living in the cold, dark ocean waters We are mammals that can do (almost) anything We are made up from starlight and stardust We are the best potential in the Universe We are capable of love and light and balance Our echoes are meant to be soul vibes Energetic frequencies of hope and blessings Our beings are meant to be whole We are created for magic and mystery The Dark side of humanhood Is a series of choices and experiences But it's (almost) never too late to change Become the best version of our being So, please... Don't be one of the broken ones Who remain empty shells that echo The remnants of their humanity Long forgotten and stripped away Don't be one of the cruel ones Who become hard and sharp to the world The remnants of their kindness Long forgotten and pierced through the heart For brokenness can be mended We just have to keep choosing faith and hope Hold on to the Light in the Darkness And choose to heal and grow and fly For cruelty can be conquered It's not natural to be destructive Babies are born with kindness and smiles They embrace friendship and happiness Let's not become empty shells Let's not be hard and sharp For we are not sea creatures Living in the cold, dark ocean waters © Michelle Morris, 2023
