We Are Going On a Nanny Boat
We are going on a nanny boat, a nanny boat, a nanny boat.
We are going to be a faerie float, a faerie float, a faerie float.
I smile, loving it that my four-year-old grandchild has discovered
Poetry in her purest form.
We are smiling at the sun today, the sun today, the sun today,
We are laughing at the stars this way, the stars this way, the stars this way!
Loud and proud, he sings, at the top of his lungs, praising the day.
Nothing as wonderful as sharing a spring day with a grandson who loves life!
He sings even more loudly now, which I had not thought possible.
Frogs and dogs, hogs and frogs, blogs and logs, frogs, blogs, dogs, and blogs and hogs…
I am hoping he never loses his enthusiasm for rhyming.
Singing a pure joy that he expresses quite well.
