We Are Complete

Nestled under an old blanket, we poke logs, ablaze in the fire. And a crescendo of sparks flares; as brisk breezes boldly aspire. A dark horizon inks shadows: while a scarlet sun sinks from sight. And embers, bursting into flames; confetti night with specks of light. Snowflakes weigh evergreen trees down, twigs snapping, with a crackling sound. And as the weight begins to build, their boughs bend low, touching the ground. A shooting star unzips the sky: sparks signaling its sacrifice. And golden moonbeams gild the clouds were Luna tints, crystals of ice. Twinkling stars, dust ebony skies with glitter: at the Sun's retreat. And snuggling up tight, we embrace, for together, we are complete.
