"We are called home once more". This is hauntingly beautiful. I'm inspired to write a poem. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes.

We are called home once more

There is this longing
Deep within our souls
It ignites our hearts to remember
It helps our hearts become whole

The people who touch our lives
They become part of our bones
Our hearts and souls and DNA
They are where we find our home

Every moment we share together
Every blessing that is formed
Its warmth spreads through our bodies
Our connection is forever dawned

But nothing human lasts forever
We're here for a handful of God's years
We can only hope to make the best of them
Celebrate the wins and the tears

We are called home once more
We are starlight and stardust formed
Our eternal souls know better
Being human isn't our norm

We are meant to soar in space
In the Universe God made for all
We are called home once more
For us Heaven celebrates evermore
