We Are Brothers and Sisters

There is 
only one universe we are told
which 
has been created by a single force 
a force
that has been applying the same laws of birth,
growth and decay throughout space and time
thus
no matter with what name we decide to call this 
unseen, omnipotent and omnipresent power,
this power, is the same for all of us and we are 
this power's children and consequently we all are 
brothers and sisters. 

Why then should we fight, one against the other, 
for the name 
when
we very well know, the only truth that there is for 
us to know:
THE EXISTENCE and UNIQUENESS of GOD?

Julie Achilles May 5, 2020 at 4:45 AM I agree with you Demetrios- one world- one human race- we are all one and equal in God's eyes and love- I too studied Theology and Philosophy at University (as a student not teacher) but, my belief comes from within- we are all God's children and to love one another is to love God- is that not what you are saying? The other issue is the dichotomy between what is called "general revelation" ergo, what we can deduce from the natural world. Timothy Hicks May 4, 2020 at 8:30 PM Your poems causes one to question the root causes of our assumptions: what can we all agree on, and what is "up in the air"...? While some of the bickering is unwarranted, I think the primary reason why people fight over the "name" of this power is the moral connotations behind it. If a "big bang" created all, it doesn't necessarily tie any moral responsibilities on to us (as the atheists/agnostics might argue). But if it's the God of the Bible that is force it carries with it (CONTINUED)
