We All Need To Be Loved
Hesitation and confusion, and then it all started.
Tired soul could not take anymore, anyway,
All I needed was a break from this daily routine
To go somewhere in a bit deeper, for a relief.
Always heard poetry is something utterly puzzling.
Believed it as a norm, till I fell in that stream.
Struggling, in an emotional rainbow, still learning each color,
Realized that none is left to preserve the pristine.
I met her in a park; she had beautiful dark eyes
She had her daughter with her. Lovely, pretty.
We talked about random things. And I asked, politely
Her name and she replied after a pause," Duaa."
We all need to be loved. As I write this, I could see Duaa's face.
Note: Duaa means supplication in Arabic.
