We All Might Be They

I me we they she he Beyond only one possibility Not limiting myself as a she Honoring my other sides including he Why gender ever only meant one way Sure did limit us back in the day It is enlightening, a refreshing sway We do not have to make anyone pay Calling girls tomboys or boys sissy names Ridiculous; one of many silly games. It is fine now for none of us to be the same. We do not have to stick with one type or name. Honoring the theys, hes, shes inside us all We can now stand up and be proud and tall Fitting no boxes, living our own truth today It’s a better, enriched, enlightened way.

So true, Caren, and although it is causing great consternation among many circles, I think we should honor a person's right to be who they are...whatever! There is a really funny film on HULU that makes this point. It's called "Hurricane Bianca." You would enjoy it!
