We All Have a Past

We all have pain from the past
Memories that just seem to last
Pictures and voices that remind us of how we have sinned
But what they don’t tell us is that we ultimately win
God takes are mess and makes a masterpiece
He gives us hearts of love instead of the beast
We were all damaged from our childhoods
Most of us were misunderstood
But God knew us and he loved us then
He loved us so much he became a human
His blood runs fresh everyday
All we have to do is kneel down and pray
It’s never too late to start living again
It’s never too late for those wounds to mend
So surrender them once and for all
So you can fulfill your God given call
He renews our youth like the eagle
Making us shine like we are regal
If we don’t accept his forgiveness he bled in vain
The cross meant nothing, and we are doomed with pain
But, he died so we could have life and life more abundantly
It’s time for you to forgive yourself and set your soul free.
