We All Are Slaves In Time's Ship

we all are slaves in time's ship held hostage to a promise of eternity as the sails fill, oars are manned we journey into life facing contretemps in some moments while lucky stars at times command the bow we sail away and the stratagem is to open the eyes let the future reign give yourself happiness in every possible moment yesterday is a lesson that we champion in the day where hope comes with expectations in every tomorrow OKC 2/23

Love the poem, Timothy. I may not be a 'happiness-seeker,' but I don't take any pride in sadness anymore. Excelsior, Gershon

happiness is a birthright....as well the ability to feel the depth of sadness....i have found in life it is a balancing of moments into a healthy direction....and it was in recovery i found the key is about acceptance....letting go and letting God have the scales...29 years of sober living has taught me life has its ups and downs and no matter what....i can live happy, joyous, and free, and look at this blessing here at Poetry Soup, soon i will be with my great-grandchildren and from the quills here already have poetry for them...from the quills here...life is such a blessing and deserves an attitude of gratitude

Beautifully laid out, as the positive energy expressed throughout will truly radiate in the minds of those who seek what's beyond the horizon. Great write, Timothy!...ab
