Wayward Wings 8x8

Floating on a repentant leaf.
Circling in flotsam fairy pond.
Drizzling leaves whirligig in dark.
Wayward wings beg woods to respond.
Tiny tears flooding maple boat.
The sentinel owl nods his head
as hearts resound with golden wings
whisking away prodigal’s dread.

Ooh! This is a gem. Such intriguing imagery and so many unusual turns of phrases packed tight here. Nicely done, Kim. G.L. in the contest! ~ Gershon

What you can do with just a few well-chosen words is gob-smackingly satisfying and amazing. You have a gift that just keeps giving, and I am so glad you are sharing it with me! Each line so filled with imagery, and natural goodness, Kim. Sweet!
