Ways To Tell

I bought you cheesecake
Here’s a blanket
Did you take your meds this morning?
How did you sleep?

No, don’t stop, I enjoy your rambling
You’re not a burden, even at your most depressed
Breathe, everything will be okay
We’ll get through this

All the things I wish would be said
By someone who does not exist
