Ways To Go
Every time you feel you are near and your at your best
Suddenly in creeps fear and starts putting you to the test
He pushes you from behind in trying to get you to fall
Running with whatever he can find as he steals away the ball
In taking one step forward and ending up two steps back
Oh Heaven help me Lord in all the area's that I may lack
For I can see I have a ways to go but know that You are near
In everything Your Grace does show and it's so perfectly clear
So when I do fall and go veering off upon my own way
Yet I still hear your Call, how heavy Your Word does weigh
Keep me close by your side as I know You have always done
Giving me strength to always abide in Your Most Precious Son
But one needn't ever look behind no matter how bad your living
One thing in Jesus you'll find is He's in the business of forgiving
Sure we all have a ways to go with so much still being ahead
But it sure helps one to grow in thinking upon the words He said
