Wayra Lantern

Night brings misery…
                             adrift in midnight scowl
I strike a match, blinking light
                           With lanterns glowing soul
                     Release to shadows, my darkness

It was my surprise as well...thanks so much for giving us great choices to see where our imaginations would lead us...I'm always surprise how daily conversations will creep into my writing without my thinking about it before I start to write.

Actually, I don't have much worries or darkness, but I know people who do and have imagined what it must be like for those who wake in the night unable to sleep these days.

I guessed, "Winter brings misery," but be it Canada or US, Spring has sprung a month or more. THE BARON asks a good question ... but LIGHT & DARK have fought battles eternally. Satan was a Praise Team leader in heaven, & still goes as "an angel of light - LUCIFER." My pastoral hat keeps jumping up, but I pray U will sleep good tonight. Rebuke bad thoughts! ptl

Something about the night makes you feel vulnerable, thank god for light. Good luck in the contest Tom
