Wayra Kaleidoscope

With flying colors,
dancers whirl on New Year's Eve!
Hued sun sinks in black magic,
and a year grows too old.
Fireworks warp a world that's turning.

Hello Evelyn, On our long Victoria Weekend there is fireworks. I am not a fan of fireworks. My reason: My cat gets scared. She meows very loudly. She suggnles up to me for protection. Fireworks is hard on dogs and cats ears. My cat and and i do not sleep at all .Hugs. /Darlene/

Hello Darlene, that sounds like a sensible law. After all, we all need our rest. I used to be able to walk out on my high rise balcony, and enjoy the firework show, from there. It all depends on where you live in the city. If you're in a highrise, or near enough to the lake, you can see the fireworks. I no longer live where I can view those firewoks anymore, but the neighbors sometimes put on a brief show. Hugs. :)

Hello Evelyn, so you have a good view of the fireworks? Yes fireworks is hard on dogs and cats ears. A new law in Canada about fireworks to last only to 12 midnight. there are a few that keep going till the early mornings. Hugs. /Darlene/

Hello Evelyn, I do also Evelyn, but this happens every time there is fireworks. Our long weekend is here and there is fireworks until the early morning. that is too long to last. I will not be sleeping well this long weekend. neither will my cat Stormy. I dread it. Hugsa. /Darlene/

I sure hate the idea of dogs and cats being upset by the noise of fireworks. They can be hard to enjoy, when there are too many, too close. Here in Chicago, fireworks can be plainly seen, from a great distance away, at Chicago's Navy Pier, on Lake Michigan. Thank you for your comments. Blessings.
