Way On High

In days of old and grey sky Everything was darker nigh And the clouds always float high Rains put gloom and sigh

It seems we remember these gray days more than we remember the sunny ones, Russell. Although rain is usually welcome where I live, there are times when we get too much and you don't see too many people smiling. Lovely doiditsu, Russell! Love, Carolyn

I love this poem, no matter what! The sky seems to evoke strength in verse. You have related it well in this poem. ---Forsooth nigh tis nery a fav'rite word of min whereinsoever-:) 7up and a FavourWrighten

A day like this is like a root beer float with mud in it. Swell topic and usage of rhyme...re: syllable count with my haiku...not sure if you are allowed to use numbers..if I wrote it out it would have had too many syllables so I short cut with numerical form..if it's illegal...I will go to jail for what I believe in...lol. Thanks Russ. Gwendolen

well, no wonder you liked my third haiku best. It gets rid of these old grey skies! I bet you hate this kind of day. Good monorhyming, Sir!
