Way Back When

I thought I was in love
On that midsummers day
When a close friend of mine
Called for me, to come and play

I remember it so well
Just like it happened yesterday
Some memories still linger
While others, fade away

My friend had a neighbor
Bad-mitten was the game
And quickly introduced the girl
by mentioning her name

She was an angel and a demon
That stole my heart away
When I first looked at her
There was nothing I could say

So speechless I continued
Too scared to make my play
And when the game was over
She skipped along her way

I offend think about her
And the things that might have been
But truly I am blessed
Beyond those days of 'Way Back When'

Thank you Kim, Sometimes its seems to be difficult to come up with a theme to write about---until you look back at your life---I just don't do it very often---I don't want to get into a rut. Thanks again....
