Way Back When
The good old days was when we were kids
Living free and having fun
Not a care in the world
We made up our own games to play
Like hop-scotch, jump rope, tag
Red light even hide and seek
Kids were safe playing outside,
as long as they played in front of their door
The good old days was when we could
Go to bed and leave your doors unlock
Because the neighborhoods looked out
And had each other’s back
There was always one house
Where everyone love to hang out
The good old days was, when the music was hot
It was smooth R & B, and cool slow jams
And sitting on your front porch was
Where the party was, cook-outs
Gambling, playing board games, and cards
It was the bomb, and also downing a few cold ones
With the music playing loud, the food and good company
It was more fun back in the good old days
