Waves of Life

When pushed under by a wave,
Rolling with the punches it deals,
Until you begin to run out of air,
And you fight to surface for a breath,
Only to be pushed under by the next wave,
Awed by their power,
Reminded of life's struggles,
Waves of hardship pulling you under,
Strugling to survive through the struggles of life and death,
Overjoyed with the peace in between,
Little things seem huge and all powerful,
Until those towering waves of life push you under again.
