Waters Of March

As blue ' waters of March' quiver a chime, Near the paling ledge of 'Real Life ' harbor Where 'so many stars ' flicker, quite sublime On fallen crest...' it hurts a whole lot more.' Near the paling ledge of Real Life harbor I observe 'the dreamer ' inside me ache On fallen crest...it hurts a whole lot more To drink, to sip this' pretty world' and break, I observe the dreamer inside me ache, For this masquerade of glee chafes my soul To drink, to sip this pretty world and break; Recalling my Grandpa.... dug in the knoll. For this masquerade of glee chafes my soul Where so many stars flicker, quite sublime Recalling my Grandpa...dug in the knoll As blue waters of March quiver a chime. Inspired by songs of Sergio Mendes Waters of March Real Life So Many Stars It Hurts A Whole Lot More The Dreamer Pretty World

Your pantoum uses its returning lines beautifully, allowing the song titles to weave through the poem like a haunting refrain. The contrast between outward beauty and inward ache deepens with each repetition, while the memory of your Grandpa gives the musical tribute a tender, personal poignancy.
