Waterfall

There’s nothing like a waterfall To make you stop and stare And give yourself some credit For the fact that you are there. To come upon one naturally Would be a great surprise, But mostly, people seek out What’s been seen by prior eyes. Still, to watch the water gushing As it tumbles down its course Is to realize those who miss it Should be flooded with remorse.

This is superbly crafted! Have you ever seen the statue of entwined lovers under the waterfall on the RHS of the stairs leading up to la Basilique du Sacré Cœur de Montmartre, in Paris? What a view on one's way to church! Aloha!

I’m not into all that astrology stuff but as a cancerian I do have an innate affinity with water, and you’re right, there is nothing quite like a waterfall. Terry

Thanks for stopping by, Terry! I’m not a water person at all, but love looking at it in all its forms…

Love this, Ilene. Yes, I go out of my way to view a waterfall. There is something intriguing about "the water gushing As it tumbles down its course."

I totally agree, Jim! It doesn’t have to be a huge Niagara-type one, either…

Great piece, Ilene. I've only seen one waterfall, it was in Colorado, and it was wonderful. I don't know that I would be remorseful for having missed it, but I'm so glad that I don't have to worry about that.

It amazes me that many people get through life without seeing rainbows, sunrises (or sunsets), crescent moons and waterfalls - my favorites! I guess remorse was a bit of a stretch but I needed that rhyme (I think you’ll understand, Jim!)
