Water Song For Kevin On His Birthday

Water Song

deep in thought
I seem to be
yet water song
it calls to me
across the hills
into the glens
and down the forest
toward a bend where
aged oak and beech
do blend into a wood
both deep and fair
the water sings its magic
there inside my head
it echoes still from pretty
pool to dancing rill.

Silly me. I've just spotted the subtle rhyming throughout this lovely poem, which really became apparent when I read it aloud. Beautifully done.

Lovely imagery. It greatly appeals to my senses. Simply stated words that work together to speak of nostalgia perhaps, or longing. Love the rhyme in the last two lines. Lucky Kevin

Kevin is a poet friend who encouraged me to begin writing again after 12 year hiatus and another after my husband died but it was only seven years this last time. We do that for each other never met face to facet its been over twenty years.

Timothy you may notice after a while that I have trouble with my words sometimes. so for covering = conversing. Sometimes I surprise my self.

How are you today. I enjoyed covering with you yesterday. I think the answer to the camel conundrum is one mile. Let me know. Thank you for reading and commenting.
