Watching the Preparation

Crisp chills awake me
As leaves descend to the ground
Nature’s reds now thrive
Watching animals prepare
I stare in autumnal awe

Nice reflection for the season. I like the imagery of "Crisp chills." And yes, those reds do thrive. I think this is a poem most can identify with. Thank you for sharing it with us and for your kind words regarding my poem. Keep on writing!! Karen

The animals are preparing right outside our window. We have an abundance of squirrels today, in the grove of trees behind our house, and saw 3 deer this morning...all looking for food! A lovely poem, Michael...as if you were here! ~Carrie
