Watching the Debaters

Watching the Debaters
By Franklin Price

Watching the debaters
Tonight politically
May make you pull your hair out
Make you climb right up a tree

Don't have a clue of what we need
Why we hold this country dear
Listening to their gibberish
Should make that more than clear

Some confusing in the answers
To questions they will get
Will deviate all that they can
Maybe time for them to quit

Listen closely for the truth
There might be some to hear
If we are somewhat lucky
A real runner may appear

Hope we can make sense of it
I'm thinking probably not
Wondering this morning
Is this the best we've got?
