Watching

As I watch the sky and stars,
seeing the planets Mercury, Venus, and Mars,
I wonder if love is out there,
I wonder if it is, then where?
Should I look close to home or far out?
Should I stay quiet or scream and shout?
I don't want to look to my past,
fro the answers to questions that I once held fast,
"Is she the one?"
"Is all the searching done?"
I say goodbye to all those past, to all those who broke me down,
those who made me frown,
those who made me cry,
those who made me try
to change who I was,
finally, I can just be me, and I look around at the people who pass,
and wonder who else have been changed?
Who else has had their image rearranged?
The ones we love change us,
then they make a fuss
that we ourselves have changed, but I'm done being blue!
I'm doing my best to live without you
