Watching
Sitting quietly at my table
Moist eyes glued upon the paper
That opens to me a clear sight
To the landscape of your insight.
With words that describe a Monet
Filtering through dusty clouds set
Beginning their separate ways
By your sun's strengthening bright rays.
Opens a world of true colors
Found in a new spring day splendor
Where the long blades of grass are filled
With bright wild flowers, never stilled.
Caught in the dance of the sweet breeze
With the sun's widening rays, steals
A woman, holding a sun shade
Smiles, with sparkling eyes as she waves.
And I dare not look at who she is
For the artist's love is not missed.
