"The blackbirds sing to herald spring
Quote by poet"
When birds prepare to produce young
I know for sure that spring has sprung
The adult birds will try their best
to gather twigs then build a nest
In time their eggs begin to hatch
the parents then have got to catch
worms, caterpillars and lots of flies
as hungry mouths need huge supplies
It is a most delightful thing
when new fledglings take to wing
and make their first flight in the sky
I just adore seeing them fly
The blackbird sings his sweetest song
he’ll never get any notes wrong
Robins and bluebirds join the chorus
heralding that spring’s arrived for us
