Wasting Paper

I’ve spent days wasting paper Just trying to write a simple song Describing the way I feel Knowing that she’s long gone I don’t lose my words often But some say I’m better off Just take this time to heal And clear your head But that is all too simple Cause you don’t have to sit at home While staring at the paper and the lead Outside the sun is shining Am I doing something wrong I’ve got my buried emotion With all that has been going on I figured this’ll be the day Where I’ll think of something Cause the walls are getting taller And my heart is sinking low I can’t help but wonder What did I do that was so wrong I know I’ve got expectations Did I set the bar too high I’m told keep on waiting And that she’ll come around But here I am Still wasting paper
