Wasn'T I Worth Something

Im hurt tired and confused
was what we had only a ruse
I am lost
I am hurting because of you
You think your words mean nothing
But wasn't you and i worth something
I put on a facade
Pretending you dont hurt me
Pretending that you did not break me in two
But wasn't i worth something to you
Wasn't i enough
Did i not give you what you want
Please put an end to my misery
You told me you loved me
Wasn't i worth something to you

Dear Katy, the repetition of “wasn’t I worth something to you” is so poignant and potent. Your heartache spills upon the poetic page with a sad beauty that is keenly felt and appreciated. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
