Greedy dirty pigs
taking more than you deserve
I now live on scraps

That is something more and more can identify with! We hope that the pork is not so much that we can't fund what's important. It's a problem we have with democratic rule, so we have to hold our politicians accountable--a difficult task. We see people like George Santos win elections and have to wonder. We might be missing some coverage as local news organizations consolidate. Not necessarily a good trend and still ongoing.

My contention is that too many people vote very superficially, that is how people like Mr. Santos get elected. In defense of them, most are too busy just trying to get by in their own lives, to take time to delve into the substantive issues.

Sad that our economy is going downhill with the morals as well. Quite a nice political work. Thanks for sharing and for dropping by my page. Sara

Thank you Sara for commenting!! I sometimes wonder what happens to the people we elect to a very privileged position, as our representatives, and then seemingly forget why they were sent there and become shills for a political party!! (Tongue in cheek)But then again I don't really have an opinion on such matters! Ref. Conflicted Country, Partisan Politics ect.....
