WAS IT A PROMISE TO BREAK ME?

I never got to meet my grandma.
When you said I was your grandchild
I thought it was your way
Of expressing a love that would never fade.
I imagined you would tell me stories filled with warmth
That you would listen to me
And understand my point of view.
I believed you would offer me a shoulder to cry on,
Share words of wisdom.
I felt loved
When you laughed even after I caused you an accident
Just to comfort me.
You teased me, you complimented me.
But 'Grand ma' why did you choose to disown me
Your very own favorite grandchild?

It's a nice but sad poem. Keep writing through whatever the situation. It will be an encouragement to others as it was to me.
