Sometimes refusing to be embroiled in their mess is misconstrued as uncaring even though you show your concern privately and they know that all the while you were praying for them. Sad. hugs!

Very powerful write, my esteemed poet. However, perhaps spear and sword will not work against hate.....Love and kindness should do the job much better. Powerful write...as always.

What a lovely and constructive comment my, dear Eileen, this is! Yes, you are right! Let us arm our warriors with kindness ( spear) and compassion ( sword) as to fight ( work) for the establishment of the dominion of love by eliminating hate from the heart of men! Poetry as you very well know has its ways as to make its point even when it, seemingly, contradicts itself. Thank you for joining those warriors! going
