Warrior of Light

From the clouds the heavens open.
Karah, Warrior of light descends
in searing white splendor, a heat haze
shimmering in the sunlight.

She points at the sky, and a sword appears
like a silver bolt of lightning,
she controls its slashing with her mind,
as she breathes ice and fire into her enemies.

The gods have favored her
with a heart so strong, it beats
like the sound of thunder within the earth
sending its power into her fingertips.

It’s time for earthlings to celebrate,
In her presence, winter will depart,
and spring rush in like an eager child.
The Warrior has brought them Light.
