Warm Is On Her Way

warm

will

come

her

smile will

pierce society's crowd of

chilling frowns and

let downs

to

reach

you

she’ll

melt away the cold

(un)numb your hope and

confidence

her

rich rhymes

will ripple through your veins

restore

trust to a

heart tattered

by misused love and

kindness

with

combine effort

you and she will stabilize

emotional messes

happiness

will vibrate from

your tongues and speak of

endless days

filled with love, laughter and

adventure

yes...

its cold, now

but...

warm

is

on

her

way

I felt a surge of warmth fill me as I read this feel good piece, and I'll bet other readers felt the same. How beautiful, Corey!

Hello Dineen, I'm pleased you were able to feel the warmth of this piece. I wrote it for a poet friend who had experienced pain from loving someone underserving of them. Thank you for reading and taking the time to respond. :)
