War of the Mind

Bodies lay dead and dying Wounds never healing Thought’s captured for life Fears never thought of before Innocents disappeared Noises trapped in the mind Bullets flying hitting on target Graves unmarked and missing Traps with exploding power Death and destruction for politics Coming home to burning flags Sleepless nights of terror Now riots in the street Is this what we fought for?

This has a powerful message my friend - no its certainly not what all these brave soldiers died, maimed and tortured fought for. The ones protesting peacefully for what matters is fine, but the ones that cause destruction, fires, innocent people dying should be sought out and stopped. Blessings and hugs Bobby Jenn.

The riots and the looting are clearly NOT what you fought for... Unfortunately, the same dunderheads who haven't supported our troops since 1965 are now running the cities of this country, and they are an abject disgrace, scum-of-the-earth... AND there is no Republican opposition to alter their hell-bent course to destruction... See what effect this has had on me, Bobby. You have written some powerful poems. This should have been POTD. Thank you, Gershon
