War of Me versus Universe

For long has man lived far from whole— A life of me alone and sole, Never one with all else That spiritually spells, One that has taken heavy toll. Fought he has a self-imposed curse, A war of me with universe, ‘It’s me who scored the goal, ‘I’ve a claim to walk tall’, Never a walk walked with others. He thinks, me alone is enough, And yet his journey proves when tough, Wish, there dawns awareness— Common ground, consciousness, O to call his blind-folded bluff. That the rainfall over his town, O by warmth from far is sent down, None lives in solitude, Lives in shared brotherhood, One falls, many may break their crown. __________________________________ Reflections |12.04.2024| self, spiritual
