War In My Head
What hope lies in the distance,
All I see is death,
Why wait for what is not to come,
We will not win this war,
There weapons are to much,
To powerful,
We cannot win,
The war is already won,
But they keep on coming,
These ghosts of my past,
I see no hope,
No light in the darkness,
Just visions of my past,
That haunt me day and night,
I can’t fight them,
And can’t stop them,
This war in my head is killing me,
This guilt is unbearable,
I can’t stand it,
I must sleep,
I must sleep dreamless dreams,
And never wake up.
